My dears,

Today we will take another step forward, or better said, two. We are making gloves with a pattern and lace!

For this project you will need:
– Suitable yarn for hook no. 4
– Cca 50 g for main color yarn
– Cca 10g for lace color yarn
– Hook nr. 4

Terminology:
Stitch – st
Slip stitch – slst
Single crochet – sc
Double crochet – dc
Chain – ch

Chainless double crochet
1. Chain 4
2. Yarn over, insert the hook through the lower part of the 4th ch (the one furthest from the hook).
3. Yarn over, pull the hook so now we have total of 3 loops on the hook.
4. Grab the yarn and pull only through the first loop on the hook, then through 2 and then through the remaining 2. This is the first chainless dc.
The following double crochets:
Yarn over, insert the hook behind the small V made and repeat steps 3 and 4.

The pattern:
Round 1:
As described above, make a total of 30 dc, but please note: the ch3 from the beginning counts as a dc! At the end of the row, we will connect the two parts with slst, starting at the top of the ch3, through the bottom part of the highest ch, with the last dc we made. And that makes the first round done.

Left glove:
Round 2:
Ch 3, dc in the next 3 dc. Skip 2 st, in the third we will make *(3 dc, ch1, 3dc) in the same st, skip 2 st, make 1 dc in the next st, skip 2 st, make * in the next one, skip 2, dc in the remaining 15 st. We will finish the round by making a slst at the top of ch3.

Right glove:
Round 2:
Ch3, dc in the next 14 st. Skip 2 st, in the next st make *(3dc, ch1, 3dc) in the same st, skip 2, make 1 dc in the next st, skip 2, make * in the next st, skip 2, dc in the remaining 4 st. We will finish the round by making a slst at the top of ch3.

Both gloves:

Rounds 3 – 11:
Repeat Round 2.

Rounds 12 – 15:
Repeat Round 2, but do not slst into ch3 at the end of the round. Instead, ch3 and turn your work (we are making space for the thumb).

Round 16 – 17:
Repeat Round 2, at the end of the Rround slst into the top of ch3 (we are closing the glove). Cut the yarn and hide it. Here you can also attach the loose part from the beginning and hide the yarn.

Lace

We will work in the other color. First turn the glove inside out, because we will be working on the inside.

Round 1:
Start by making a slst in the wall of the dc (see the video). Ch1, make 1 sc in the wall of the next dc. Ch1, sc in the next dc wall. When you reach the space where we skipped 2 st, ch total of 3, then make sc by connecting the walls of the dc in middle of the cluster (see the video). Finish the round with slst in the first slst we made.

Round 2:
Make a sc in the same st. Skip ch1 space, in the next ch1 space make *(3dc, ch1, 3dc), skip 1ch space, make sc in the next ch1 sp, skip ch1 space, make * in the next one. Repeat this until the end of the round. We will finish the round by making a slst in the first sc we made.

Round 3:
We start by continuing to make lace:
*(dc between 1st and 2nd dc in the cluster, ch1, dc between 2nd and 3rd dc in the cluster, ch1, 2dc in the ch1 space, ch1, 2dc in the same ch1 space, ch1, dc between 2nd and 3rd dc in the cluster, dc between 1st and 2nd dc in the cluster), slst in the sc, * in the next cluster. Repeat until the end of the round, end it with slst in the first st of the round.

Cut the yarn and you are all done!
